General Settings defines the tenant-wide defaults for your application. These are the foundational values the application falls back on when no more specific value has been set — for example, the time zone applied to a new building, or the default type assigned to a new space.
Configure these once during initial setup. You can update them at any time.
Who can access General Settings?
Only users with the Space Admin role (or higher) can view and edit General Settings. Other users will not see the Settings option in the navigation.
General Settings | Application defaults
General Settings contains required fields. All must have a value before the application is fully functional. The system automatically fills these with default values when your tenant is first created — you can change them to match your organisation's preferences.
The following are the initial application default values when your tenant is created.

Default Space Type
This is the space type that will be pre-selected when creating a new space, if no other type is specified.
Select from the list of Space types you have defined (See – Location Types for more details). The system default out of the box is 'Work space'.

Default Subspace Type
This is the Subspace type that will be pre-selected when creating a new subspace, if no other type is specified.
Select from the list of Subspace types you have defined (See – Location Types for more details). The system default out of the box is 'Work place'.

Default Building Type
This is the Building type that will be pre-selected when creating a new Building, if no other type is specified.

Time Zone
This is the time zone the application will use as the default for any new building or site that is created without a parent location (i.e. as a root node in the hierarchy).
When a building or site is created under a parent that already has a time zone, it will inherit the parent's time zone instead.
Select your default time zone from the list. The system default out of the box is ‘Europe / Brussels'.
Default Terrain Type
This is the Terrain type that will be pre-selected when creating a new Terrain, if no other type is specified.
Select from the list of Terrain types you have defined (See – Location Types for more details). The system default out of the box is ‘Parking terrain'.

Default Drawing Preparation Standard
When you have saved one of more Drawing Preparation Standards (while preparing a Drawing for use), you can mark one as default when preparing your next Drawings.
