This widget will allow you to visualize the cost associated with the consumption of a reference device from any location, provided a price has been correctly set up and linked to it. You can find more information about supplies, contracts, and prices here.

Introduction
The reference device consumption cost widget is a finance widget that allows you to visualize the cost of consumption of a device that has been previously assigned to a supply.
The widget enables you to select the consumption concept from any of the energy sources you wish to visualize, for example, the cost of electricity or gas consumption of a device that has previously been assigned as a reference meter.

Requirements
Before creating the Reference Device Cost Widget, you need to ensure the following:
- A device with, at least, hourly data on it, assigned as a reference meter to a location.
- A configured price from one of the available energy sources.
- A supply (with a valid contract) with the mentioned price assigned to the device.
Configuration
1. Go to the Dashboards section.
2. Create a new Dashboard with the + symbol or edit an existing one.
3. Add a new Finance widget - consumption cost by reference device.
4. Select the desired widget type, among the following:
5. Choose the energy source, reference meter, resolution, period, and comparison you want to display, and save it.
Available energy sources and concepts
Currently, only consumption concepts from all available energy sources can be visualized:

Widget in detail
The widget can be displayed in a unique KPI format:
And will work exactly the same as the cost per device widget when selecting the consumption concept.
It can also be displayed in a bar format:
As a reference device widget, this widget is considered dynamic. You can learn more about dynamic widgets here.
NOTE: Currently, it is not possible to add data to this widget, so if you select a group or an area, it will not display correctly.
Possible error messages
If something is not correctly configured, error messages may appear. The following situations have been considered as possible errors:
- The reference meter does not exist at the selected location:
You will need to correctly assign the device as a reference meter for the location for which you want to see the price.
- The reference device has not been assigned to any supply, or this supply does not contain valid contracts, for the selected location:
You will need to configure a valid supply with valid contracts and correctly assign it to the reference device of the selected location.
