Introduction
The Cost by Device widget is a financial widget that allows you to create a single KPI widget that shows the cost of a device that have previously been assigned to a supply.
This widget allows you to select the concept cost that you want to visualize, for example, the consumption cost, or just the contracted load cost or the total one, which aggregates the different concepts.

Requirements
Before you create a Cost by Device widget, you need to make sure that you have:
- A device with, at least, hourly data in it.
- A configured price of one of the eligible energy sources.
- A supply (and valid contract) with the mentioned price assigned to the mentioned device.
Set up
1. Go to the Dashboards section
2. Create a new Dashboard with the + sign or edit an existing one
3. Add a new Financials - Cost by Device widget
4. Choose the Energy Source, the device, the concept, the period and the comparison that you want to see, and press Save.

Right now, the energy sources available with their associated concepts are:

Possible error messages
If something is not well configured you can experience some error messages. The following error situations are considered:
- The concept selected is not available in the price assigned to the selected device:
You should configure a price with the concepts you want to view.
- No valid contracts configured for the selected device:
You should configure a valid contract for that device.
