User roles can be applied when it is desirable for a user to have limited access. For example: They may modify Building components and actions, but not the object information.
To assign a particular role to users, you must first define a user role.
Then click “Select User Role”
Here, you can define the name of a role. For example: Technical User
Once you have entered this, you can select the relevant role.
After selecting the role, you will see an overview of categories, where you can indicate for each category whether something may be modified or not.
The example below explains the “Objects” category
After selecting objects, the right-hand screen displays an overview of all fields that can be visible on the Object details page module.
For the relevant role, you can set fields to visible or not visible, and specify whether they may be edited.
To assign the user role, go to System Administration–Users and assign the relevant role.
If the User roles column is not visible on the screen, you can select it using the Column Chooser, causing it to appear on your screen.
Double-clicking the user opens the following screen, where you can apply the desired user role under role.
